Jamtli - Museum in Ostersund

Every year, approximately 200,000 visitors come to Jamtli in Östersund. Many of them are families with children. Some are interested in history, others make a visit just to have a nice day in a different environment. In the summer it will be especially magical when Jamtli Historieland opens the doors! The historic houses are alive and roleplayers give visitors a sense of traveling in time.

In the summer of 2018 the National Museum of Jamtli opens! It is a unique venture on art and culture that permanently strikes root at Jamtli. In the new exhibition building, six centuries of paintings, sculptures and design items are displayed from National Museum collections. You can visit the museum's permanent exhibitions all year round. Here you can find the 1000-year-old Overhogdalsbonaderna - Europe's oldest complete image weave. The temporary exhibitions address current forms and trends in art, photography and community development.
